REQUEST FOR BID PROPOSALS FOR XIAMEN PCG CHANCERY
REQUEST FOR QUOTATION OF PRICES FOR SERVICES
Sir:
Please submit your lowest price quotation for the following items individually described below, subject to the following conditions:

Quotations submitted to this office will be considered final offer. In the event that the price is acceptable, a properly accomplished and approved PURCHASE ORDER or JOB ORDER will be served to the supplier/contractor. The delivery date will be indicated in the Purchase/Job Order.

The Consulate General hereby reserves the right to reject any/all offers; and accept any/all offers it may consider most economical and advantageous to the Government.

Goods/Services supplied and delivered shall be subject to the usual inspection by the Consulate General's Internal Auditor or duly authorized representative and
-
Payment will only be effected by strict compliance with the usual prescribed accounting and auditing requirements.

The validity period of the prices quoted must appear in the quotation.

Term of contract is from 01 August 2016 to 31 December 2016. The allocated budget for said service is RM6,000.00 quarterly.

The Company's technician will be responsible for the following:
a. All software maintenance, including installation and maintenance operation system as well as application program.
b. Assist in hardware repairs, replacement of expendable and other computer spare parts are not included in the contract. Technician will assist in acquiring quotations, purchasing expendable and spare parts needed.
c. Monthly maintenance of the Consulate's computers under the agreement within eight (8) working hours and without any delay, unless any special conditions arise.
d. All of the Consulate's computers as well as replacement parts will be covered by the maintenance service. However, if the problem arises due to natural calamity, the Technician will not take any responsibility and additional service fee may be charged to the Consulate. At the same time, the Technician will not take any responsibility on dispute of property, copyright or license of any software.
e. Provide consultation and technical support on computers, network and software, etc.
f. Treat all its technical support and service provided as confidential.
g. If the service needed is located outside Xiamen City, the Consulate will shoulder expenses for the transportation and hotel accommodation of the Technician. The expenses incurred, are not included in the service fee.

Terms of payment: cash or cheque on a quarterly basis upon signing of contract.

Technician may charge RMB 100.00 for additional service rendered outside the Philippine Consulate.

PCG XIAMEN AND HUAQIAO UNIVERSITY SEEK TO EMBARK ON CONTINUED COOPERATION, STRENGTHENING OF PEOPLE-TO-PEOPLE ENGAGEMENTS
In an effort to embark on more cultural and education cooperation and strengthening of people-to-people engagements, Consul General Maria Antonina M. Mendoza-Oblena led the Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen’s delegation on a meeting with the officials of Huaqiao University (HQU), Jimei, Xiamen campus on 21 April 2022.
The Consulate General’s delegation was warmly welcomed by HQU’s officials led by its Vice President, Mr. Wang Jianhua.
After the exchange of pleasantries. Mr. Wang shared the University’s brief history, programs and historical relations between the Philippines. He also expressed appreciation for the Philippines’ continued participation in its Chinese language program for government officials.
Since 2011, officers from Philippine National Police (PNP) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) have been participating in the Foreign Government Officials’ Chinese Language Program at the Huaqiao University Chinese Language and Culture College in the Jimei, Xiamen campus. The latest batch of officers, due to the pandemic, remain in the Philippines and are taking their classes online.
Consul General Mendoza-Oblena also expressed her appreciation to Mr. Wang and HQU for the warm welcome and underscored the Consulate General’s continued support for and participation in its programs.
Mr. Wang was joined by Mr. Hu Pei’an, and Mr. Pan Xiaxing, Dean and Deputy Dean of Chinese Language and Culture College, respectively, Ms. Han Jiachen, Deputy Director, Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, Mr. Xie Wei, Deputy Dean, Preparatory Education College and Mr. Zhan Yuxin, Representative, Office of Huaqiao University in the Philippines while Post delegation include Ms. Elaine Mae V. Laruan-Hernandez, Vice Consul, Ms. Faith P. Bautista, Economic and Political Officer, Mr. Reigfred P. Albello, Cultural and Information Officer, Ms. Maria Regina V. de la Fuente, Passport and Consular Officer and Mr. Huang Fubin, Interpreter.
Also present during the meeting were Ms. Shen Yue, Representative of Xiamen Municipal People’s Government Foreign Affairs Office (Xiamen FAO) and four (4) Filipino students – Ms. Czara Marie Ang, Ms. Aeriel Jane Acot, Ms. Christine Joy Estorco and Mr. Kian Artgold Dee - taking up Chinese Language and Culture.
The meeting with HQU officials was a vital part of the continued cooperation between the Consulate General and the university as well as the Philippines and Xiamen, Fujian – China relations.

Xiamen City, 10 April 2022 The Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen successfully launched the Overseas Absentee Voting (OAV) for the 2022 National Elections in its premises on 10 April 2022.
Among the early voters on the first day of voting were Consul General Maria Antonina Mendoza-Oblena, Mr. Hennessy Ding and Ms. Josephine Ding, long-time residents of Xiamen City, and Mr. Owen Momo, officer of the Filipino Community organization, Filipinos in Xiamen (FAX).
A total of 624 qualified voters (of which 118 are new registrants) are registered in the Philippine Consulate General’s area of jurisdiction - Fujian and Jiangxi Provinces.
