ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF EMPLOYMENT CONTRACTS/AGREEMENTS

  1. For Direct Hires - Direct hiring of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) for overseas employment is not allowed except for professional and skilled workers.
  1. Confirmed appointment
  1. Personal appearance:
    • Employer; or
    • Authorized representative of employer or Chinese placement agency
  1. Provide the following documents:
    1. Employment Contract (in English and Chinese; compliant with both Philippine and Chinese laws) to be signed at the Consulate by the employer/agency/representative (please see the standard employment contract for various skills) (2 original copies)
    2. Present the original Chinese National ID or Chinese Passport of the employer/agency/representative, along with 2 photocopies of the presented ID.
    3. For a duly authorized representative, provide a Special Power of Attorney (SPA) as proof of authority to sign, with an English translation, notarized and apostilled by the Fujian or Jiangxi Foreign Affairs Office (original and photocopy). Include a copy of the ID of the authorizing person (e.g., passport or Chinese national ID with English translation)
    4. Company business license with English translation, notarized and apostilled by Fujian or Jiangxi Foreign Affairs Office (original and photocopy)
    5. Copy of Passport data page of Overseas Filipino Worker to be hired 2 photocopies
    6. Proof that employee can obtain work/permit/long-stay visa
    7. Pictures of the workplace 2 photocopies
    8. Pictures of the employees’ accommodation/residence 2 photocopies

  1. For employment through a Philippine recruitment agency (PRA) (for unskilled workers and employment of more than five (5) employees), in addition to 1 to 3 above, following are also required (2 sets):
  1. Recruitment Agreement
  2. Special Power of Attorney (SPA) authorizing PRA to act for and on behalf of the employer/agency/representative
  3. Job Order or Manpower Request
  4. Approved Quota
  5. POEA License of the PRA

  

Renunciation of Philippine Citizenship

The renunciation of Philippine citizenship is a voluntary act of giving up Philippine citizenship after acquiring foreign citizenship. A Filipino citizen, whether natural-born or naturalized, who is at least 18 years of age, may renounce their Philippine citizenship.

  • Interview with Consular Officer
  • Processing Fees – RMB530.00 (payment only via bank transfer through online mobile banking)
  • Two original Application Form for Renunciation of Philippine Citizenship (download here)
  • Two original Affidavit of Renunciation of Philippine Citizenship (download here)
  • Current Philippine passport with photocopies of the identification page.

If Filipino citizenship is acquired by birth

  • PSA-issued Certificate of Birth apostilled by the Department of Foreign Affairs

If Filipino citizenship is acquired by naturalization

  • Proof of acquisition of Filipino citizenship, such as a Certificate of Naturalization or an identification document issued by the Philippine Government apostilled by the Department of Foreign Affairs.
  • Other documents as may be required

 

SOLEMNIZATION OF MARRIAGE
 
Marriage between two (2) Filipino nationals, male and female, who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of marriage, may be solemnized at the Philippine Consulate General.
 
Requirements
 
• Personal appearance of contracting parties for interview with the solemnizing officer 
• Passport size ID pictures of both parties
• At least two (2) witnesses of legal age
• Processing Fees - (payment only via bank transfer through online mobile banking) RMB532.00
 
ORIGINAL AND PHOTOCOPY OF THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS:
• Valid Philippine passports of both parties
• Duly accomplished application for marriage license
• PSA Birth Certificates of both contracting parties and apostilled in the Department of Foreign Affairs
• PSA-issued Certificate of No Marriage Record (CENOMAR) and apostilled in the Department of Foreign Affairs
Note: Should be issued not more than sixty (60) days from the date of intended marriage.
• Other documents, if applicable:
o If 18 - 20 years old:
 Duly notarized Affidavit of Consent* executed by father, mother, surviving parent, guardian, or person having legal charge
 Marriage Counselling Certificate*
o If 21 - 25 years old: 
 Duly notarized Affidavit of Advice* executed by father, mother, surviving parent, guardian, or person having legal charge 
 Marriage Counselling Certificate*
o If previously married: 
 Judicial decree of absolute divorce OR judicial decree of annulment OR duly authenticated death certificate of spouse and apostilled in the Department of Foreign Affairs
 Annotated PSA marriage contract and apostilled in the Department of Foreign Affairs
 
TO BE ISSUED BY THE CONSULATE GENERAL:
• Notice of Marriage (10-day publication)
• Marriage License (valid for 120 days)
• Marriage Contract
*If executed in the Philippines, the Marriage Counselling Certificate, Affidavit of Consent and Affidavit of Advice should be duly notarized and authenticated/apostillized by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA)
 
**The couple and the Consular Officer will set a mutually-agreed upon date for the marriage ceremony.
 
 

CERTIFICATE OF LEGAL CAPACITY TO CONTRACT MARRIAGE (CLCCM)

 

The CLCCM is required by Chinese authorities in order for a Filipino to marry a Chinese national in China.

  • Confirmed appointment
  • Personal appearance of applicant and fiancé/fiancée for interview with Consular Officer
  • Processing Fees - (payment only via bank transfer through online mobile banking)RMB266.00 per document/per service
  • Original and photocopy of the following:
  • Printed duly accomplished application Form no.5 LCM (download here)
  • Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR) of the Filipino national issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and apostilled by the Department of Foreign Affairs
  • CENOMAR must not be more than six (6) months old
  • Should state that the purpose is for “Marriage Abroad”
  • Birth Certificate of Filipino national issued by the PSA and apostilled by the Department of Foreign Affairs
  • Household Registry (HUKOU) of the Chinese party with English translation, notarized and apostilled by the Fujian or Jiangxi Foreign Affairs Office
  • Valid passport of Filipino national and passport or national ID of Chinese national (with English translation)
  • Other documents, if applicable:
  • If Filipino national is 18 - 20 years old:
    • Duly notarized affidavit of consent* executed by father, mother, surviving parent, guardian, or person having legal charge of the applicant
  • If Filipino national is 21 - 25 years old:
    • Duly notarized affidavit of advice* executed by father, mother, surviving parent, guardian, or person having legal charge of the applicant
  • If Filipino national was previously married:
    • If annulled or divorced - marriage contract issued by the PSA with proper annotation and apostilled by the Department of Foreign Affairs
    • If widowed - PSA-issued marriage contract with previous spouse and PSA-issued death certificate apostilled by the Department of Foreign Affairs
    • If the previous spouse is a foreigner, provide the death certificate of the previous spouse with English translation, notarized and apostilled.

 

*If executed in the Philippines, the Affidavit of Consent and Affidavit of Advice should be duly notarized and authenticated/apostillized by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
