In the wake of the devastation and loss of lives, homes and properties caused by the recent typhoons in Metro Manila and surrounding provinces, the Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen is pleased to provide the following information to Filipinos, Filipino-Chinese and those who wish to make donations for the victims of the recent typhoons:

A. Government Agencies

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) with the assistance of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) oversee the acceptance and distribution of donations from foreign sources.  You may wish to visit the LINKAPIL website at www.cfo-linkapil.org.ph and NDRRMC at www.ndrrmc.gov.ph for information in sending relief goods / items to the Philippines.  For more information on donations through these agencies, kindly see below the list of focal persons that these agencies have provided to assist possible donors.

B. Non-Government Agencies

For those who wish to send their donations (in cash or in kind) directly to Philippine Red Cross (PRC), GMA Kapuso Foundation and ABS CBN Foundation, please see below for complete information and contact details.

B.    Cash or Check - Please send cash or check donations to the PRC National Headquarters in Manila.  Checks should be made payable to the Philippine Red Cross.  PRC can also arrange for donation pick-up.

International

1.    Send a letter of intent to donate to the PRC.

2.    A letter of acceptance from PRC shall be sent to the donor.

3.    Immediately after shipping the goods, please send the (a) original Deed of Donation, (b) copy of packing list, and (c) original Airway Bill for air shipments or Bill of Lading of sea shipments to Philippine Red Cross - National Headquarters c/o Secretary General Gwendolyn Pang, Bonifacio Drive, Port Area, Manila 1018.

The PRC does not accept rotten, damaged, expired or decayed goods.  Though PRC appreciate your generosity, PRC also discourage donations of old clothes as they have more than enough to go around.
