The Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen would like to inform all Filipinos regarding updates as of 25 October 2013 on the effects of the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that hit Bohol, Cebu and other provinces.
According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), the death toll has risen to 201, injured people were tallied at 720 for Cebu, Bohol, Siquijor, Negros Oriental and Iloilo, while 10 were still missing in Bohol. Statistics from the NDRRMC showed that a total of 3,158,869 persons were affected in 1,494 barangays in 59 municipalities and 6 cities in 6 provinces of Regions VI and VII.
Total cost of assistance provided by the DSWD, DOH, LGUs, and NGOs to Regions VI and VII is at PhP33,859,189.17. Bohol and Cebu were already declared under the State of Calamity.
