“Philippine Halal Assembly 2015 – International Conference and Expo”

The Philippines is pleased to announce that the 2015 Halal Assembly – International Conference and Expo will be held from 03-05 June 2015 at the Marriott Manila Grand Ballroom, Manila. About forty (40) representatives from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and over 1,000 participants are expected to attend the event, which is organized by the Philippine Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region XII in partnership with the Halal Development Council (a Pakistan-based NGO dedicated to the development of the Halal economy), with the backing of the OIC.

The event aims to serve as a venue for unified action and synergize efforts of concerned agencies of government and the private sector, to jumpstart the development of halal industry and enable the country’s products to penetrate and be accepted in the world market.

There will be seven (7) plenary sessions which will include Halal marketing and branding, Islamic finance and banking, among others.

The highlight of the event will be the launching of the Philippine Certified Halal Logo, which will be duly recognized and accredited by the OIC. The Logo will signify that a product is compliant with the “One Standard, One Logo, One Test”rule of the OIC, which can then facilitate entry and acceptance into the world market.
