The Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen is pleased to report that the Xiamen C&D International Travel Service Co., Ltd. (CTS) has organized the sailing of the first of its kind Luxury Cruise onboard the "Super Star Gemini" destination: the Philippines.
The cruise will depart from Xiamen's Dongdu International Cruise Terminal Port in the evening of 14 October 2013, carrying about 1,300 Chinese tourists and over 700 crew, headed for two Philippine destinations, Boracay and Manila.
This cruise comes at an opportune time when the Philippines is steadily gaining prominence as one of the most exciting tourist destinations anywhere in the world.
The Philippine Consulate General and the Philippine Tourism Office in Shanghai are always working hand-in-hand to further promote tourism to the Philippines in southeastern China. The sailing of this five-star cruise to the Philippines is just one of the positive developments that have been taking place in this part of China vis-à-vis travel to the Philippines since 2012.
To quote the promotional materials of Xiamen CTS, Boracay Island is considered as the world's most beautiful beach by a number of travel magazines, with its seven-kilometer long powdery white sand beach giving immediate access to shopping and popular local specialty tourism activities. The island also offers diving programs in coordination with the cruise company.
As for Manila, the CTS promotional says: Manila is the capital city and the largest port in the Philippines. Considered a world-class city, it is one of the most prosperous cities in Asia, well known as the "New York of Asia.
The Super Star Gemini is as a Bermuda ensign ship and offers romantic, luxurious and relaxing and comfort with onboard entertainment and activities.
The ship will arrive in Boracay on 17 October 2013 and then in Manila's South Harbor on 18 October 2013. It will depart Manila on the 19th and come back to Xiamen on 20 October 2013. END.
