Xiamen, 14 September 2021 --- The Philippines takes center stage for the second time in a row, as it stands as Guest Country of Honor of the 21st China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) held at the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center in Xiamen, Fujian Province, China on 7 to 11 September 2021.
The Philippine delegation, headed by Ambassador Jose Santiago L. Sta. Romana of the Philippine Embassy in Beijing and included Special Trade Representatives of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, and members of the Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen, held a series of activities to convince Chinese officials, business leaders and investors to do business in and with the Philippines.
With the theme “Make It Happen in the Philippines”, a Philippine Investment Opportunities Forum, a Philippine Construction and Infrastructure Forum, a Global Biz with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority, and an Online Round Table Meeting with Chinese Investors were carried out online and offline, taking advantage of modern technology to reach out to a wider audience which was limited by stringent anti-CoVid protocols and tight security measures.
