Cebu Pacific Airlines (CEB) commenced its Manila-Xiamen-Manila flights on 23 March 2012. The opening ceremony for the inaugural flight at the Xiamen Gaoqi Airport was attended by Consul General Adelio S. Cruz and other Chinese officials on 23 March 2012.

Cebu Pacific will fly the Manila-Xiamen route at three times a week, Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

To launch its latest products and promotions, CEB organized a number of activities at SM City Xiamen Mall and Robinsons Galleria Xiamen on 24 and 25 March 2012 with the string support of the Department of Tourism and its Tourism Office in Shanghai, which brought to Xiamen Philippine-based performers to add color to these events.

A launching of DOT's latest slogan "It's More Fun in the Philippines" and CEB's products was also held at the Crowne Plaza Paragon Center Xiamen over lunch on 26 March 2012.

Speaking before the invited guests, mostly representatives from travel agencies, Consul General Cruz, expressed his support to CEB's latest endeavor and encouraged the travel agencies to further promote the Philippines as a prime tourist destination.

Also present during this event were Xiamen Municipal Foreign Affairs Office Director General Mr. Hong Chengzong and the Deputy Director General of the Xiamen Municipal Tourism Bureau Mr. Yang Fanggen. END.
