Consul General Maria Antonina M. Mendoza-Oblena, together with SM China’s Senior Assistant Vice President for Mall Operations Ronald Allan D. Brosas, Tenant Representative Sephora SM Xiamen’s General Manager Ms. Liang Runxian, and Customer Representative Ms. Pan Hong lighted SM Xiamen’s recyclable Christmas Tree at the SM Lifestyle Court on 20 November 2021, Saturday, to welcome the Christmas Season in Xiamen.

With this year’s theme of “A Healing Christmas”, the Christmas tree presents the ecological self-recycling concept for Christmas.   The tree represents hybrid agriculture, a combination of urban business and agriculture.  The space at the bottom of the tree is for hydroponic plants, its required nutrients recycled through pipes, thereby reducing use of fertilizer and water which in turn reduces the adverse effects on the environment.  Customers can adopt real vegetables in SM and witness the growth of these plants together with the butterflies housed in the area.    SM Xiamen will undertake VIP prompt points, pet adoption, talk shows and other events during the Christmas season.
