The Panagbenga Festival or “Flower Festival” of Baguio is from the Kankanaey word that means “season of blooming.” The festival pays tribute to the city’s flowers and the people’s efforts to rise up from the tragedy of the earthquake that struck the city in the 1990s.

As we celebrate in February the National Arts Month, let us journey once again to the North to experience the beauty and artistry of the Panagbenga Festival in Baguio.
