Philippine Consul General in Xiamen Maria Antonina M. Mendoza-Oblena rendered a courtesy call on the new Director General of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Xiamen Municipal People’s Government on 01 March 2021.
DG Zhang Quan, who was assigned to the Office on January 2022, was the former Director of the Xiamen Culture and Tourism Bureau. He has a PhD in Economics, studied English Language and Literature at the University of International Relations in Beijing and studied Business Administration at the Cardiff Business School, University of Wales.
During the courtesy call, both leaders discussed the possible areas of cooperation between the two agencies, especially in the field of culture and tourism.
