The newly-elected Filipino Association in Xiamen (FAX) officers, led by the President Engineer Tecson Lu Uy paid a courtesy call on Consul General Maria Antonina M. Mendoza-Oblena at the Consulate General on 5 July 2022 at the Consulate General.

During the call, Consul General Mendoza-Oblena expressed her warm welcome and congratulated the newly elected FAX officers, namely Mr. Johnson Co SM Country Head for China, (Vice President1), Manila Xiamen S teacher Ms. Ma. Theresa G. Legatam (Vice President2) and teacher Mr. Raymond Mitchel Africa (Secretary General). All officers were lauded for their valuable work as professionals in their respective field of work as businessmen and educators in Xiamen. 

The Consul General also thanked FAX for the support and cooperation with Post’s activities and programs, and expressed that the Consulate General looks on activities and trainings that may empower Filipinos abroad.

FAX is the community organization of all Filipinos in Xiamen. It was established on September 1997 by the late Architect Manuel Teh and Engineer Roman T. Go of the Manila Xiamen International School (MXIS) as adviser.
