At his meeting with the members of the Economic Association for Returnees from the Philippines in Shishi City (EARPS), Undersecretary Jesus S. Domingo dubbed Fujian Province as the “heart” of Philippines-China relations and sees these returned overseas Chinese as a dynamic bridge between the Philippines and China.

EARPS is an organization of Shishi people who have returned to Fujian from the Philippines. Undersecretary Domingo visited the EARPS headquarters where its Founder, Mr. Michael Go, narrated the organizations’ history and outstanding work. The undersecretary was also met by EARPS President, Mr. Hong Qing, and some EARPS members.

Mr. Liu Yi Bo, Chairman of the United Front Work of the CPC Shishi Municipal Committee called for stronger cooperation between Shishi and the Philippines and encouraged those present to work together to ensure a better future for Shishi City and for the Philippines.
