The Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen led by CG Maria Antonina M. Mendoza-Oblena participated at the 2024 New Year Briefing for Xiamen Consular Corps organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of the Xiamen Municipal People’s Government on 22 January 2024 at the WuYuan Water Village Hotel in Xiamen.
 
The Briefing was conducted by Vice Mayor Zhuang Rongliang, Deputy Secretary General Lian Gengsheng, and FAO Director General Zhang Quan.   DDG Lian briefed the meeting of the 2023 economic accomplishments of the City of Xiamen and VM Zhuang provided the work agenda for 2024.
 
The three Consuls General rendered a report of their respective Consulates’ 2023 achievements and their 2024 plans, especially those requiring collaboration with the Xiamen government.
 
The Vice-Mayor appealed for the continued support of the three Consulates to Xiamen’s economic agenda and requested for their insights/suggestions towards the achievement of mutually-beneficial goals.
 
The meeting was preceded by visits to the Xiatanwei Mangrove Park, the Xiamen International Expo Center, and the Xiamen Egret Stadium.
