NEW_XIAMENS_SPRING_FESTIVAL_GATHERING.jpgConsul General Maria Antonina M. Mendoza-Oblena and Ms. Faith Bautista of PCG Xiamen attended the 2024 Spring Festival Gathering of Xiamen held at the Xiamen International Convention Center Hotel on 8 February 2024.

H.E. Cui Yonghui, Standing Committee Member of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Xiamen Municipal Committee delivered his Remarks and conveyed the City’s greetings to usher in the year 2024 – the year of the 75th Anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The gathering, a morning of Chinese songs and dances, was attended by representatives from different walks of life - Xiamen municipal government leaders led by Mayor Wang WenHui, representatives of provincial units, military officials, retired government and military officials, university officials, experts and foreign friends as well as by representatives of the youth, education, medical field, literary and art circles, minority groups, private enterprises, and by persons with disabilities.

The audience was delighted with the “Children’s Dance”, the “Chinese Opera Medley”, the “Lianhua Folk Song” and “Distant Blue Mountains dance, the “Best Wishes for Spring” dance, and a song and dance number called “Our New Era”.
Also in attendance were Royal Thai Consulate’s Deputy CG Nilobol Pimdee Ms. Tidapa Sitikhonpibulaya and Singapore’s Consul General Chng Tze Chia.
