SM China Head Mr. Johnson Co, Head of Mall Operations Ms. Kaye Lim, Head of HR Department Mr. Vincent Ye, HR Admin Manager Ms. Jamie Zhang and Ms. Amy Zheng of HR Department, visited the Philippine Consulate General Xiamen on 18 February 2024 to call on Consul General Maria Antonina M. Mendoza-Oblena and personally see the new premises - a 850 sqm villa in a land area of 1,670 sq m, originally built for BRICS in 2017 but was transformed into an appropriate home for PCG Xiamen - complete with Philippine-inspired architectural designs including Capiz-inspired lattice windows, limestone walls, and wooden balustrades.
The SM executives and CG Mendoza-Oblena discussed the long-existing close partnership between the two entities – the most recent of which was last year’s “Pinoy Fiesta sa SM Xiamen” held for the Philippine National Day celebrations. They have agreed to continue cooperating on various projects in the future and to continue supporting each other to strengthen the relationship and to sustain Philippine economic growth objectives.
