Ten (10) students from the Confucius Institute, Angeles University Foundation rendered a courtesy call on Consul General Maria Antonina M. Mendoza-Oblena on Tuesday, 2 July 2024.

The students are to undergo a 2-month internship at the International College of Chinese Studies at the Fujian Normal University (FNU) in Fuzhou, Fujian Province.

Consul General Mendoza-Oblena introduced PCG Xiamen and its work to the students by way of powerpoint presentation entitled “Introduction to PCG Xiamen”. 

The visit was in compliance with RA 7722 “Higher Education Act of 1994” and CHED Memorandum Order No. 10, s.2023 on the Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP).

Participating students were Marialyn Arcilla, Julia Maera Tisza Austria, Arvin Jay Billones, Chyrrin Avielle Dizon, Elisa Vera Festin, Kimberly Garcia, Carl Dowen Manguera, Desley Mae Montesa, Luilyn Ocampo and Chloe Nicole Valenzuela.  They were accompanied by Ms. Chen Yanyi of FNU.  

Chinese teacher Ms. Chen Yanyi, who was handling Filipino students at the FNU for the past eleven (11) years said that the students who came were very pleased and deeply touched by PCGs reception.
