XIAMEN, 27 September 2024 --- Consul General Maria Antonina M. Mendoza-Oblena, speaking as “dean” of the consular corps in Fujian Province at a dinner-reception organized by the Fujian Provincial People’s Government, delivered a speech congratulating China (Fujian) on its 75th Commemoration of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China and outlining the historical, economic and people-to-people successes of Philippines-Fujian relations.
Attendees were led by Fujian Vice-Governor Wang Yong Li and included Chinese government officials, foreign guests, business leaders, teachers and students including nine(9) Filipinos with the Fujian Normal University. Also present were the Deputy Consul General of the Thai Consulate General in Xiamen and the Consul of the Singapore Consulate General in Xiamen.
Immediately before the dinner-reception, CG Mendoza-Oblena also led the three consulates general in a meeting with Fujian Vice Governor Wang. END
