Philippine Consul General Maria Antonina M. Mendoza-Oblena welcomes visiting Philippine educators and officials at The Chancery at No. 4 in Xiamen.
XIAMEN 25 September 2024 – Philippine Consul General to Xiamen Maria Antonina M. Mendoza-Oblena welcomed a group of visiting Philippine educators and officials. They represented the University of the Philippines Diliman, University of Cagayan Valley, University of Makati, City College of San Fernando-Pampanga, and the City College of Angeles-Pampanga, as well as the Clark Development Corporation.
The group were in town to build on the relationships that they had forged with their Chinese counterparts. During their visit, they had a brief meeting with CG Mendoza-Oblena and other officials of the Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen to exchange ideas on how education and research can be powerful tools in further strengthening Philippines-China relations.

Earlier that same day, officials of the Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen joined the group in their visit to and tour of the various facilities of the Xiamen Nanyang University (XNU). The Philippine group saw XNU’s facilities and the outputs of practical education students, particularly those majoring in education, advertising arts, and architecture and building technology. Students entertained the visitors through cultural performances.
The group then took a flight to Beijing for the next leg of their trip. END
