Philippine Consul General to Xiamen Maria Antonina M. Mendoza-Oblena (R) welcomes Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia and her delegation.
XIAMEN 30 October 2024 --- Philippine Consul General to Xiamen Maria Antonina M. Mendoza-Oblena met Cebu Province’s Governor Gwendolyn Garcia at the Gaoqi International Airport upon the latter’s arrival in Xiamen for a six-day visit to Fujian Province upon the invitation of the Fujian Provincial Government.
Governor Garcia’s 34-member delegation is composed of Cebu’s Provincial Board members, the Governor’s official staff, and members of the private sector in the areas of aviation/tourism, business, health and the media.
She will meet with Xiamen, Quanzhou, Zhanghou, Fuzhou and Fujian government officials. The visit will also include a Visit to the Rizal Shrine in Jinjiang, a Promotion Conference of China-Philippines Economic and Trade Innovative Development Demonstration Park in Zhangzhou, a visit to the University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, to Xiamen Air headquarters, and to JOMOO Sanitary Products Group. There will also be talks with the Provincial Aviation Administration and a signing of MOUs between the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Nan’An Chamber of Commerce as well as between Cebu and the University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
