Xiamen, 25 October 2024 --- Speaking for the third time at the Opening Ceremony of the ASEAN Culture and Economic Exchange Center (ACEEC) Art Creation Season V on 25 October 2024, Philippine Consul General to Xiamen Maria Antonina M. Mendoza-Oblena highlighted the Philippines-China connection through the arts.
Addressing officials of the Fujian Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Xiamen Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Xiamen Jimei District Committee, Jimei Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and ACEEC, CG Mendoza-Oblena conveyed her belief that it is through the arts and music that Philippines-China relations can be nourished and sustained.
She acknowledged the participating artists, including six (6) Filipino artists present, and expressed appreciation to the organizers and supporters of the art exhibition.
ACEEC is a long-time partner and friend of PCG Xiamen and provides a platform for artists all over the world to showcase and market their works. END
