XIAMEN, 25 November 2024 --- Consul General Maria Antonina Mendoza-Oblena and some officials of the Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen visited Jiangxi Province from 21 to 24 November 2024 and met with Filipinos in Jiangxi on 23 November 2024 at Nanchang Shangri-La Hotel.

The meeting took the form of a Christmas party, and the Filipinos, led by Oishi Jiangxi Senior General Manager Mr. Giovanni Dy Hernandez, organized a fun-packed party of songs and dances, Pinoy trivias, raffle, and exchange gifts.

CG Oblena delivered a brief remark where she lauded the Filipinos of Jiangxi Province for bringing honor to their country as successful expatriates, and for showing the best in the Filipino by being cohesive, optimistic, and a blessing to everyone.  She expressed her gratitude and appreciation to Oishi and Jiangxi head Mr. Dy Hernandez; to the Program’s lead organizer Ms. Andrea Stanley; and to the attendees.

Filipinos based in Jiangxi are composed of supervisors of Liwayway/Oishi Food Production and Packaging Plant in De’An county, teachers on various fields from the different schools in Nanchang, a Product Design engineer, and Filipinos married to Chinese and other foreign nationals.

Liwayway/Oishi has always been acknowledged by Jiangxi government officials for its success and its contributions to the development of De’An County. END
