XIAMEN 9 December 2024 ---  In a grand display of cooperation and ‘pakikisama,’ PCG Xiamen personnel led by Consul General Maria Antonina M. Mendoza-Oblena surprised attendees of the 2024 Christmas Celebration of the Filipino Association in Xiamen on 7 December 2024 by performing “Kumukutikutitap” with colorful umbrellas.

The much-awaited annual event was attended by three hundred fifty (350) people composed of Filipinos, Chinese, and other foreign nationalities who all enjoyed an evening of raffle prizes and surprises.  Several guests came in ‘intergalactic’ attire – the theme of the evening’s celebration.   Guests included top-ranking executives of SM, Robinson’s, and Eton.

The occasion also saw the Induction into Office of the new set of FAX officers led by Manila Xiamen International School (MXIS) IBCAS Coordinator and Teacher Mr. Raymond Mitchel Africa as President.  Outgoing President Tecson Uy delivered his valedictory address and paved the way for the new administration.

CG Mendoza-Oblena inducted the new officers into Office.  FAX later presented her with a token of appreciation for her support and assistance to the organization.

Later in the night, PCG Xiamen’s Political, Economic and Cultural Officer Faith Bautista and Assistance-to-Nationals (ATN) Officer Rey Albe Mateo were also recognized and presented tokens of appreciation.

The evening also awarded prizes to the Best in Costume (male and female) and raffled prizes topped by two (2) roundtrip PAL tickets to Manila and Boracay.  END
