XIAMEN PCG DECLARES 20TH ANNNIVERSARY

On the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of the establishment of the Consulate General in Xiamen, the winner of the Logo Design contest was announced on Friday, 18 April 2015 at the Philippine Consulate General’s Bulwagang Bagumbayan.
Mr. Jose Noel Antivola, a Xiamen-based Filipino artist, designed the winning logo with the adopted theme “Moving Forward in the Present and the Future”. As contest winner, Mr. Antivola received a painting by Filipino visual artist Ernesto “Aris” Bagtas.
Mr. Antivola bested other Filipino graphic artists based in Xiamen and Fujian province.
The winning design will be put on display at Xiamen PCG’s Bulwagang Bagumbayan as part of the Consulate General’s celebration of its 20th Anniversary and will be used for various memorabilia.
Consul General Flores encouraged Filipino artists in Fujian Province to participate in various events in China to showcase their talents to promote the Philippines, its arts and culture. END
