A simple turn-over ceremony of the wrought iron sculpture of the logo design for the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Consulate General in Xiamen was held during the Philippine Consulate General’s diplomatic reception on the occasion of the 117th Philippine Independence Day on 24 June 2015 at the Kempinski Hotel in Xiamen City.
The winning design with the adopted theme “Moving Forward in the Present and the Future” was created by Mr. Jose Noel Antivola, a Xiamen-based Filipino graphic artist.
Mr. Antivola bested six (6) other Filipino graphic design artists based in Xiamen and Fujian province for the Logo Design Contest organized by the Consulate General.
In recognition of Mr. Antivola’s artistry, his employment company, Xiamen Yibo Trading Co., Ltd. commissioned the sculpting of the winning design in wrought iron for donation to the Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen. END
