Philippine Consulate General officials led by Consul General Julius Caesar A. Flores attended on 01 August 2015 the opening ceremony of a photo exhibit organized by te Singapore Consulate General on the occasion of Singapore’s 50th Anniversary of its Independence and the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of the Singapore Consulate General in Xiamen. The exhibit with the theme “Looking Back and Moving Forward”, also included Singapore Consulate General’s donation of 300 volumes to Xiamen City Library.
The photo exhibition, which will be from 01-14 August 2015, showcases the many achievements in bilateral relations between Singapore and China’s Fujian Province, highlighting the high-level interactions between its leaders, Singapore’s investments in Fujian province as well as the people-to-people exchanges.
The event was attended by officials from the Xiamen City Municipal government, Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs (FOCAO) representatives, the Thai Consul General to Xiamen and members of the Singaporean community in Fujian Province.
Consul General Flores conveyed to Singapore’s Consul General in Xiamen, Mr. Chi Chiew Sun, the Philippines’ congratulations for his country’s double milestone commemorative events. END
