Consul General Julius Caesar A. Flores was the Commencement Speaker during the recent 22nd Commencement Exercises of the Graduating Class of the Manila Xiamen International School (MXIS).
In his inspirational message, Consul General Flores posed several challenges to the graduates including, to “dream big and aim high” for them to become achievers in their own right, equipping themselves with their vision and passion to make their own contributions to make the world “a much better and peaceful place” to work and live in.
Consul General Flores also paid tribute to the MXIS and its faculty for providing the proper environment, educational program and guidance for its students who have made their respective marks in Xiamen and abroad.
Engineer Roman T. Go, MXIS Chairman and Dr. Mildred A. Go, MXIS Headmaster, also conveyed their congratulatory messages to the graduates.
The graduation exercises was capped by the traditional Rose Ceremony in which each graduate handed roses to their founders, parents, teachers and guardians as a humble token of their gratitude for their education and upbringing.
The event was held at Le Meridien Hotel Xiamen on 11 June 2015. END
