2nd Philippine Culinary Festival at the C&D Hotel in Xiamen on 31 October 2015 which runs until 15 November 2015. The festival, which forms part of the Consulate General’s cultural and economic diplomacy thrusts for 2015, was organized in cooperation with C&D Hotel, a 5-star hotel complex.

In his message, Consul General Julius Caesar A. Flores expressed appreciation to C&D Hotel for taking the initiative to host for the second time a Philippine food festival to promote Philippine culture and tourism in Fujian province.

The opening ceremony was attended by C&D Hotel officials, Engr. Roman T. Go, Chairman of the Manila-Xiamen International School (MXIS), Mr. Benito Choa, Manager of the Eton Group of Companies, Mr. Edward Tenorio, President of Filipino Association in Xiamen (FAX), Mr. Joel Tiong, Area Manager of Philippine Airlines (PAL), and Ms. Jane See, Manager of Davies Paint Inc., among others. MXIS teachers performed selected Philippine cultural songs and dances to liven up the event.

The event was covered by Chinatown TV led by its manager/producer, Mrs. Lolita Ching.

C&D Hotel as well as its sister-company, C&D Travels and Tours Services, has been The Consulate General’s long-time and active partner in its cultural, tourism and trade promotion activities. C&D Hotel also was the venue of the Philippine Food Festival during the 4th Nanyang Festival in March 2014.

The two-week festival showcases a wide array of Philippine cuisine including adobo, lechon and a variety of seafood and vegetable dishes. END
