The Xiamen City Xia Cun Real Estate Table Tennis Team visited Cebu City and participated in the Cebu City Mayor’s Cup Invitational Table Tennis tournament held from 06-12 November 2015 on the occasion of the 1st annual celebration of Cebu-Xiamen Friendship Day on 26 October.
The Team’s participation was initiated by Cebu businessman, Mr. Henry Choa, who believes in the importance attached by the Consulate General’s thrust of enhancing of people-to-people contacts between Fujian province and the Philippines.
The 5-member team, led by Team Manager Lin Zhang Kun and Team Captain Huang Chun Shen, paid a courtesy call on Consul General Julius Caesar A. Flores on 19 October 2015 and turned-over their Team banner to the Consul General as a gesture of friendship and goodwill.
The Consulate General will tap and support similar endeavors initiated by the private sector, particularly in enhancing people-to-people contacts which contribute to the overall strengthening of bilateral relations between the Philippines and China. END
