Consul General Julius Caesar A. Flores visited on 19 November 2015 the Xiamen Cheng Xing Industry and Trading Co. Ltd., a solar energy and LED light bulbs manufacturing company in Jimei District, Xiamen City.
The company manufactures solar panels of different wattage capacities as well as its related implements, i.e. power inverter apparatus and power storage batteries. The company also manufactures solar-powered lamp posts, garden lighting fixtures, powerbank chargers, indoor lighting fittings, Christmas lights and other lights outfits.
Aside from the solar panels, the company produces 25,000 LED light bulbs per day. Their newest light product is the most promising and innovative “intelligent emergency bulb”, which could be transformed as a regular flash light by mere human touch in case of power failure.
The company exports their products to Germany, Australia, Great Britain, Malaysia, Thailand and South Africa as well as to the Philippines with retail outlets in Davao, Iloilo, Tacloban, Sorsogon and Quezon City.
With the Philippine government’s renewable energy program in mind, Consul General Flores welcomed the company’s invitation to visit their manufacturing plant and thanked Messrs. Chen Ching Chan and Aaron Tan, the father and son proprietors/managers of the company, for their desire to increase their investments in the Philippines, particularly in the renewable energy sector. They were also assured of the Consulate General’s support and assistance in further strengthening contacts between the company and their Philippine counterparts in the renewable energy sector, among other proposals bunched by Consul General Flores.
Aside from the solar panel and LED bulb factory, Consul General Flores also visited the nearby bicycle parts manufacturing plant co-owned by Mr. Chan which produces titanium bicycle frames which are exported to Germany. END
