The Filipino Association in Xiamen (FAX) held its annual Christmas Party on 05 December 2014 at the Kempinski Hotel in Xiamen with the theme “A Merry Cosplay Christmas”. The event was attended by more than 500 guests including Filipinos and their Chinese and other foreign friends.
In his message, the undersigned commended FAX for its productive year with its successful socio-cultural activities throughout the year that enhanced Filipinos’ image and solidarity in Xiamen as well as increased people-to-people contacts. The undersigned also expressed appreciation for the support FAX extended to Post in its various cultural, socio-economic and other related activities during 2015.
Moreover, the undersigned took the opportunity to announce that 2015 has been a very historic year with three milestone events being celebrated, including the 40th Anniversary of Diplomatic Ties between the Philippines and China, the 20th Anniversary of the establishment of Consulate General in Xiamen, and the First Annual Commemoration of the Cebu-Xiamen Friendship Day (26 October).
The undersigned also administered the oath taking ceremony of the new FAX officers for 2016-2017 led by its new President, Mr. Edward Tenorio. END
