Consul General Flores assured Ms. Lin of Post’s support and further assured her that the invitation to the above-mentioned expo will be forwarded to Philippine companies, both based in Fujian and the Philippines, as this would provide a good platform for cooperation between the Philippines and Fujian province as well as an opportunity to increase people-to-people contacts.
Longyan City is a traditional agricultural and coal mining town but has transformed itself to machinery and LED production city to cope with the industrial development of China. Its major industries produce special machineries, including flood control trucks, dust collecting trucks, cleaning and vacuum trucks, power generators (solar and fuel) and LED lighting fixtures.
Longyan City is 142 kilometers northwest of Xiamen. It is considered as the “Backyard Garden of Xiamen” with 80% of its land area covered by forest, the biggest in Fujian province. END
