Consul General Flores met with Dr. Evelyn F. Cabanban, President, Tawid Heritage Center together with Mr. Amado Bengua, Sales & Marketing Director, GPV Printing Ventures, Inc., and Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Tan, owners, JT Photo World, (Tawid Center’s partners) for book signing and turn-over of book donations and other cultural materials on 13 September 2016 at its Bulwagang Bagumbayan/ Heroes Hall.

Tawid Heritage Center, headquartered in Quezon City, is a non-stock and non-profit foundation with a mission to promote the appreciation of Philippine culture and showcase the wealth of talents of our performing artists, musicians, writers, poets, painters, sculptors, designers, illustrators, storytellers and the artisans through books, textbooks, audio recordings and audio-video materials.

Furthermore, the Consulate General also arranged a group visit to the Xiamen Free Trade Zone (FTZ) where they were met by Mr. Chen Bo, Assistant Manager, Economic Development Bureau, Administration of Xiamen Area of China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone. They were given a briefing of the FTZ as well as met with members of Xiamen Printing Trade Association (XPTA) to explore possible areas of cooperation.

The Consulate General expressed appreciation to Dr. Cabanban and the Tawid Heritage Center for their valuable contribution to the promotion of ourcountry’s rich and unique arts, heritage and culture as well as pursuing economic cooperation through with local business firms. END
