Consul General Julius Caesar A. Flores attended the 67th Chinese National Day reception held at Shangrila Hotel, Fuzhou City on 29 September 2016.
In his message, Vice Governor Liang Jian Yong cited Fujian Province’s accomplishments for the past year as well as highlighted the Province’s 2016-2020 economic and social development program under its 13th 5-year plan.
As dean of the Fujian Consular Corps, Consul General Flores delivered a message underscoring the importance of friendship and cooperation with China in strengthening nationbuilding and development thrusts as exemplified by the successful collaboration between ASEAN countries and China in the staging of the 5th (2016) Nanyang Culture Festival held from 22-26 April 2016 in Xiamen City. He assured that the ASEAN countries as well as the accredited missions will continue to cooperate and work with the Fujian government on matters of mutual concern to further strengthen relations as well as increase people-to-people contacts with China.
