Consul General Julius Caesar A. Flores attended the opening ceremony of the 13th Strait Travel Fair and China (Xiamen) Leisure Tourism Expo 2017 on 12 May 2017 at the Xiamen International Exhibition Center.
The event, organized under the auspices of C&D Travel, involves Fujian, Taiwanese as well as regional/international participants. C&D Travel is China’s largest conglomerate in the hospitality industry.
The Philippine Tourism Office in Shanghai (PTO-Shanghai), led by Administrative Officer Mr. Warren Palacios and accompanied by his staff, participated in the event by opening a booth for disseminating promotional materials to visitors and guests.
The event provided a valuable platform to promote the Philippines as a tourist destination to the fast growing Chinese tourism market. Other ASEAN countries also participated notably, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.
