Consul General Julius Caesar A. Flores led Consulate General’s officers and staff during the flag raising ceremony in commemoration of the 119th Anniversary of the Declaration of Philippine Independence with its theme, “Kalayaan 2017, Pagbabagong Sama-Samang Balikatin” at its grounds on 12 June 2017.
The ceremony kicked-off Consulate General’s series of activities highlighted by the annual diplomatic reception held on Wednesday, 21 June 2017 at Kempinski Hotel and followed by a concert of world-class performers, The Nightingales and violinist, JC Joya.
The Nightingales will also conduct a workshop with music major students of Xiamen University’s Art College on 19 June 2017 and stage a public concert at SM Xiamen on 20 June 2017.
Furthermore, the Consulate General in collaboration with PTIC-Guangzhou, CCPIT-Xiamen and CCPIT-Shishi and Quanzhou cities organized the Forum on Investment Promotion on Philippine Real Estate and Construction Industries in Xiamen and Shishi cities. It will be participated by Philippine top firms like Ayala Land, Megaworld Corp. and SM Development Corp. to promote investment projects in the Philippines as well as contribute in boosting economic cooperation between the Philippines and Fujian, and on the other, between the Philippines and China.
To mount these events and ensure its success, the Consulate General partnered with both public and private sectors from the Philippines and Fujian including the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), Tawid Heritage Center, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Wingli Ventures International Corporation END
