Consul General Julius Caesar A. Flores recently received Southeast Net Director Wang Yanling during her visit on 18 July 2017 to the Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen.
Ms. Wang informed that Southeast Net will establish a branch office in Manila this July to promote media cooperation and exchanges with the Philippines within the framework of China’s Belt and Road Initiative. Important developments from both sides will be given media coverage as well as collaborative undertakings (including those with the Consulate General) will be pursued.
Consul General Flores congratulated Southeast Net for this welcome and positive development which is expected to catalyze bilateral relations between the Philippines and Fujian province.
Southeast Net is Fujian Province’s media arm and has already covered and documented since last year some of the Consulate General’s events in China as well as in the Philippines END
