Consul General Julius Caesar A. Flores was recently interviewed by Sina News-Fujian as part of Xiamen City’s media blitz in preparation for its forthcoming hosting of the BRICS Summit to be held on 03-05 September 2017.

The Interview, with the caption “I am waiting for you in Xiamen” was disseminated online per attached Weibo poster and was videotaped spanning 5 minutes. It highlighted the work of the Consulate General and Consul General Flores’ stint in Xiamen.

It is featured in Weibo (micro-blog in Chinese) or Sina Weibo, one of China’s most popular social media sites. With a similar penetration to US’ Twitter, Weibo has 361 million active monthly users in 2017, with millions of posts daily and is being used by 5,000 companies and 2,700 media organizations in China. Weibo is owned by Sina Telecom company which is headquartered in Shanghai since 2001.
