Philippine Consul General to Xiamen Julius Caesar A. Flores, upon the invitation of Longyan Municipal Government, attended the opening ceremony of the 8th Cross Strait Machinery Industry Expo & the 10th Longyan Investment Project Conference on 09 November 2017 in Longyan City, Fujian Province.
Consul General Flores, along with other VIPs and other distinguished guests, led the delegation during the courtesy call on Honorable Lin Xinglu, Vice Secretary of Longyan Municipal Committee of the CPC and incumbent Mayor of the Longyan Municipal People’s Government and its officials. Consul General Flores expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the invitation and warm welcome as well as conveyed to Mayor Lin support to future Philippine and ASEAN cooperation which will help in nurturing relations with Longyan City. The Consul General Flores also conveyed the invitation to Mayor Lin and Longyan City officials to visit the Philippines and the ASEAN region.
The Expo was jointly sponsored by the Longyan People’s Government and China Machinery Industry Association with the support from Fujian Provincial Economy and Information Committee, the Taiwan Affairs Office of Fujian Provincial People’s Government and other related Taiwan business associations.
Longyan City annually organizes the Expo which serves as a platform for trade opportunities and business cooperation involving heavy machineries, automobiles, agriculture, robotics and tourism.
Mayor Lin invited the undersigned to visit Longyan City again, especially its major tourist sites in the future.
The Consulate General looks forward to deepen and widen friendship and cooperation with Longyan City.
