The Filipino Association in Xiamen (FAX) successfully organized its annual Christmas party which was held on 09 December 2017 at the Grand Ballroom Kempinski Hotel, Xiamen with the theme “One World, One Christmas”. The gathering was attended by more than 500 guests including Consulate General’s officers and staff and families, the Filipino community as well as their Chinese and foreign friends.

Philippine Consul General to Xiamen Julius Caesar A. Flores commended the FAX’s officers and its members for organizing the annual event which largely contributes to the promotion of the Philippine Christmas traditions as well as strengthening the bonds and camaraderie among Filipinos as well as their Chinese and foreign friends in Xiamen and Fujian province. Consul General Flores also expressed appreciation for FAX’s continued support to the Consulate General’s various cultural, socio-economic and other related initiatives and programs for the year 2017.

Highlights of the evening were the rousing performances from the faculty and students of the Manila Xiamen International School (MXIS) and Filipino bands. FAX raffled off prizes to lucky guests which included round trip tickets to the Philippines.
