A photo exhibit on “The Beauty of Fujian” was successfully launched at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), Small Gallery on 05 January 2018.
The exhibition is a mainstreaming activity under the Consulate General’s cultural diplomacy program aimed to promote Fujian province to the general public in the Philippines. It forms part of the Philippine-Fujian Week that seeks to further enhance friendship, understanding and cooperation between the Philippines and Fujian on one hand, and on the other between the Philippines and China.
The Exhibit featured the works of “Foto-Grupo”, a group of Filipino photo hobbyists based in Fujian organized by the Consulate General under its cultural diplomacy thrusts. The Exhibit showcased the first-hand impressions of different locations in Fujian province documented by “Foto-Grupo”, namely Messrs. Bong Antivola, Dan Osillos, Dixx Gatpo and Cocoy Declaro.
Hon. Arsenio J. Lizaso, President, Cultural Center of the Philippines graced the opening ceremony with other CCP officials. Special guests in attendance were officials from Department of Foreign Affairs, Office of Asia and Pacific Affairs (ASPAC/China Division) led by Ms. Rhenita B. Rodriguez, Director, and Mr. Jet C. Olfato, Principal Assistant, Dr. Evelyn F. Cabanban, President, Tawid Heritage Center (THC) and other guests.
