Mr. Rene Robles, visual artist, par excellence, upon the invitation of the Manila Xiamen International School (MXIS), successfully conducted an art workshop as part of the “Art in Assertionism” series of activities of the Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen in celebration of the National Arts Month 2018 on 12 February 2018.
Mr. Robles, the founder of the art style “Assertionism”, shared his passion and demonstrated his mastery of art with the workshop participants to enhance their skills and artistry in painting.
Mr. Robles was warmly received by MXIS officials and students led by its Chairman, Engr. Roman Go, who expressed appreciation to the Consulate General for its efforts in facilitating the visit of Mr. Robles to promote Philippine arts and culture.
Mr. Robles gifted the two paintings he used in his demonstration to MXIS as a gesture of friendship and appreciation.
MXIS is a valuable partner of the Consulate General in its cultural diplomacy projects and activities.
The workshop is Consulate General’s initiative under its cultural diplomacy thrusts with the valuable support and cooperation of the National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA).
