The Filipino Association in Xiamen (FAX) successfully organized one of its fundraising activities, a “Sunday-Funday” Bingo 2018 event held at the Consulate General’s grounds on 15 April 2018.

Vice Consul Elaine Mae V. Laruan-Hernandez conveyed appreciation to FAX officers and members for organizing the event which further strengthens the camaraderie and friendship among Filipinos in Xiamen and environs as well as with their Chinese and foreign friends and contacts.

Vice Consul Laruan-Hernandez also took the opportunity to encourage and remind the Filipinos to register for the 2019 senatorial elections since the Consulate General’s OV Team has been set up to process applications.

More than 200 attended the bingo event composed of FAX officers and members, the Filipino community, Chinese and other foreign friends, as well as officers and staff of the Consulate General and their families who enjoyed the prizes as well as the raffle draws and refreshments.

The Consulate General will continue to support socio-cultural events organized by various Filipino Communities (FilCom) in Xiamen and Fujian which plays a vital role in contributing to the accomplishment of Consulate General’s cultural diplomacy thrusts.
