Four Philippine National Police (PNP) officers successfully completed the 13th Foreign Government Officials Chinese Class 2018 at Huaqiao University Chinese Language and Culture College, Jimei District, Xiamen City on 04 July 2018.
This year’s class, the 4th batch from the Philippines, was represented by PNP officers led by PCINSP Yeelyne Lacpao-Saligumba of Police Regional Office 13, PCINSP Judith Z. Laguitao and PCINSP Roan Marie D. Bascugin of Civil Security Group and PSINSP Ariel V. Saltin of Maritime Group.
125 government representatives from Thailand, Indonesia, Laos, Suriname, and the Philippines participated in the 10-month Chinese language class from Sept 2017 to July 2018.
Atty. Cedrick Gayona Train, CSEE, Director, Directorate for Human Resource and Doctrine Development (DHRDD) Camp Crame, Quezon City represented the PNP with other VIP guests from other participating countries and Huaqiao University officials during the graduation ceremony. Also in attendance were Mr. Reigfred P. Albello, Consulate General’s Cultural Officer and PSSUPT Erson U. Digal of the PNP.
The Consulate General expressed its full support and cooperation to continue to work with Huaqiao University to increase and widen the participation of Philippine representatives in this significant program as well as conveyed appreciation on behalf of the Philippine Government to Huaqiao University, in recognition of its firm commitment to continue its foreign language training program which serves as a valuable platform for people-to-people contacts between the Philippines-Fujian-China.
