Consul General Julius Caesar A. Flores recently met with officials of Fujian Qiaolong Emergency Equipment Co., Ltd., (Qiaolong) a company manufacturing hydraulic drive emergency drainage heavy equipment for urban waterlogging and other flood related disasters and emergencies. It is the largest of its kind in China as well as having pioneered in the field of manufacturing heavy equipment for floods and other disasters.

Qiaolong is a RMB4 billion private company (with 10% government share) based in Longyan City, Fujian Province and started operations 25 years ago. It is one of the biggest companies in China manufacturing emergency drainage equipment. They supply their products to all major cities in China as well as exports to Thailand and Pakistan.

Mr. Lin Zhiguo, President of Qiaolong informed that he will lead a 5-member delegation from his company and join Chinese government officials to attend the Annual Meeting of the International Emergency Response Association in the Philippines on 12 November 2018 and will take it as an opportunity to promote their products.

Consul General Flores suggested that, in order to maximize their efforts to promote their products to the Philippine market, the Consulate General could facilitate in 2019 inviting Philippine companies and government officials to visit their factory at Longyan City. Consul General Flores also recommended to Qiaolong to undertake a roadshow tour of selected Philippines cities/ provinces which are the most flood or disaster prone to promote Qiaolong’s products.
