Consul General Julius Caesar A. Flores received on 9 November 2018 a visit of the official delegation from Jiangxi Province led by Ms. Zhao Hui, Director General of the Foreign Affairs Office (FAO). She was accompanied by Ms. Zhou Dan, Director, FAO Protocol Division.
Ms. Zhao highlighted the importance attached by Jiangxi Province to the friendly and collaborative relations with the Philippines and underscored the need to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the fields of culture, economic development and tourism.
She also announced that Jiangxi Vice Governor Wu Zhongqiong will visit the Philippines in December 2018 to pursue more cooperation and exchanges with Philippine cultural, tourism and private sector.
Consul General Flores welcomed the forthcoming visit as both timely and relevant in the light of intensification of bilateral relations between the Philippines and China as well as given the numerous opportunities for more cooperation and exchanges between the Philippines and Jiangxi Province in the areas of culture, tourism and economic development.
