The Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen welcomed a delegation of 118 Xavier School-Manila Grade 8 students and 13 teachers/faculty members led by Ms. Jennifer N. Say, Assistant for Chinese Administrative Matters, at the Bulwagang Bagumbayan / Heroes Hall on 27 November 2018.

The visit is part of the annual study tour/immersion program of Xavier China Experience (XCE) – Fujian in partnership with the Chinese Language and Culture Institute of Huaqiao University in Jimei, Xiamen.

Consul General Julius Caesar A. Flores delivered presentations in two batches of students highlighting the Consulate General’s multi-faceted work in contributing to enhancing bilateral relations with China. He also underscored the importance of the program which provide a valuable platform in increasing people-to-people contacts as well as nurturing of Philippine-Fujian-China relations.

Ms. Sy expressed appreciation for the Consulate General’s warm welcome and continued support of the program which enhanced the participants’ greater understanding and appreciation of the rich history and cultural heritage of their ancestral roots.

The Consulate General will continue to support the XCE program and will welcome future program participants.
