Consul General Julius Caesar A. Flores led the flag raising ceremony at the Consulate General’s grounds on Monday, 10 June 2018 as part of the Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen’s commemoration of the 121st Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence with the theme “Tapang ng Bayan, Malasakit sa Mamayan” and National Flag Day.
Members of the Filipino community, including Manila-Xiamen International School (MXIS) Founder, Engr. Roman T. Go, MXIS faculties, and Mr. Eric Dychauco, President of Filipino Association in Xiamen (FAX), Filipino community members, and Post’s officers and staff and their families attended the simple but historically important event.
The event was another opportunity for Consul General Flores to update the Filipino community leaders of the Consulate General’s forthcoming calendar of activities particularly in connection with Independence Day festivities.
