Xiamen, 16 October 2020 – PCG Xiamen personnel led by Acting Head of Post Elaine Mae V. Laruan-Hernandez visited two (2) Chinese companies located in Zhangzhou, China, as part of Post’s bolstering of its economic diplomacy efforts.
Vice Consul Laruan-Hernandez and Political & Economic Officer Faith Bautista, together with a Local Hire, Kaixiang Chen and a leader of the Filipino Community in Xiamen Mr. Clifford Alba, visited Zhangzhou Go Win Lighting Co. Ltd at the Beidou Industrial Park, Jin Feng Economic Development Zone in Xiangcheng District of Zhangzhou and met with its Company Managers, Robin Li and Jacky Wu. Mr. Alba, who is a Physical Therapist, referred the two (2) companies, whose CEOs are his clients, to the Consulate.
The Company manufactures LED bulbs, LED lights, coaxials, iciles and net lights, decorative lights, b/o and solar lights, controllers, wires, plastic and metal accessories and power accessories. Established in 2012, the Company is ISO9001.2005 certified and is recognized as a new generation of ‘green light’ with an energy-saving efficiency of 90% and a service life of 30000 hours.
The PCG Xiamen team also proceeded to Fujian Golden Bamboo Industry Co. Ltd/REBO which is based in the Nanjing High Tech Zone, also of Zhangzhou, and was received by its CEO, Mr. Li Xiao Xian. REBO converts heavy bamboo into outdoor bamboo decking, flooring, wall panels, horse stables, DIY deck tiles, wall sidings, fences, and furniture. The Company propagates the traditional bamboo culture while promoting high-end innovative living designs. Bamboo decking low-carbon consumption makes it the most eco-friendly product on the global market.
On both occasions, the Acting Head of Post emphasized the suitability of both companies, catering to either Christmas Lights or Bamboo, to expand and establish a presence in the Philippines in view of a large market prospect. Both companies showed interest, subject to the benefits, advantages and prospects to be provided to their companies.
